- Flesh damage, penetration power and armor-damage percentage describe different outcomes. A higher-damage round is not necessarily a better armor-piercing round.
- Penetration depends on ammunition penetration, armor class and the armor’s remaining durability percentage. A table value is not a guaranteed kill or penetration probability.
- The research describes a 0%–40% flesh-damage reduction after armor penetration, depending on the interaction.
- The research states that each armor hit removes at least 1 durability, including an individual shotgun pellet.
- The 0–6 effectiveness scale is a contextual ammunition-versus-armor rating. It is not the ammunition penetration number or the armor class.
